Text is compared entirely in your browser — files are never uploaded.
Drop in two versions of a document and get a page-by-page diff of the text: removed lines in red, added lines in green, unchanged text dimmed. Perfect for checking what actually changed between contract revisions before you sign.
Both documents are read and compared locally in your browser. For legal and business documents where the changes themselves are confidential, that matters.
How it works
- 1Select or drag in your files

Frequently asked questions
What kind of differences does it find?
Text differences, line by line, on each page — added lines, removed lines, and changed lines (shown as a removal plus an addition).
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
Only if the scan has a text layer. Run a scanned document through the OCR tool first, then compare the OCR'd versions.
Are my documents uploaded to compare them?
No. Your file is processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript — it is never uploaded to a server, so nothing can be stored, leaked, or read by anyone else.
Does it detect layout or image changes?
No — the comparison is text-based. A moved paragraph shows as removed from one place and added in another; image swaps aren't detected.
